Has anyone used either Data Works (by Avand) or Alchemy (by Captaris). We are in the process of doing a software selection analysis for a medical clinic that has 1 million emails on 1 of 14 servers, we produce 50 000 documents, receive 200 000 documents per annum & have 2km of paper records to manage but are on a limited budget. Anyone out there has any advice, comment or guidance for an organisation in the middle of the Australian outback that is trying to meet with compliance.

Is there a reason you're interested in Dataworks or Alchemy? What other software have you looked at?
